Things To Know About Him: He has a history of playing the "blank" hot guy in action films like Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Snow White and the Huntsman, but his performance in the BBC's Any Human Heart suggests he can go deeper than just being the "hot guy" if given the chance and material.

We told you HERE about Lionsgate's Cinema Con presentation today, and it's been reported that we'll get to see a little more Catching Fire footage at this presentation. It's rumored (but not confirmed) that Sam Claflin is making an appearance at the annual theater owner's convention.
Elizabeth Banks just confirmed that she's there to talk Catching Fire, in addition to receiving the Excellence in Acting Award at tonight's Big Screen Achievement Awards Gala.
We'll update this post with more news about Catching Fire at Cinema Con.

Sadly, no new footage was revealed at Lionsgate's presentation this afternoon. Though the studio did get a snazzy new logo:
Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, and director Francis Lawrence were on hand to introduce the teaser trailer and Lawrence says the film is officially wrapped and he's busy cutting it. The trailer will premiere in theatres in 2 weeks ahead of Iron Man 3! At least we'll all be able to enjoy it on the big screen.

Molly Mon, March 25, 2013 Sam Claflin presented last night at the Jameson Empire Awards (see our story HERE) and he gave us some amazing information during the pre-show live stream interview. He's seen the Catching Fire trailer AND he talks about Annie Cresta as Finnick's motivation. Will we see Annie in the movie? It's a relief to know that she's part of the storyline AND that there is a trailer ready and waiting for us.
Molly Sun, March 24, 2013 Empire, the UK-based movie magazine, hosted their Jameson Empire Awards Sunday 3/24/13 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Sam Claflin was there with his beautiful fiancé, Laura Haddock, both of whom were presenters. Sam presented the Best Female Newcomer Award to Samantha Barks of Les Miserables and Laura presented Best Horror to The Woman in Black.

Jennifer Lawrence was also nominated for and WON Best Actress for Katniss in The Hunger Games! Jennifer wasn't there to accept her award from English actor and comedian Reece Shearsmith. From Empire:

She can’t be with us tonight because she’s still hunger gaming somewhere. That, or she tripped on the way to the red carpet and hasn’t gotten up yet. Either way, may the odds be ever in her favour. And she has sent a message, which Shearsmith reads.
"Hi Empire awards, I'm really sorry I can't be there. I'd like to thank the Empire readers for voting for me. I loved playing Catnip - is that right?" asks Shearsmith. "I'll make sure she gets this award - I won't really."
