This week in our 100 Days of Mockingjay celebration it’s all about your Hunger Games fandom friendships - your THG BFFs. Who is your THG BFF? Do you have more than one? A whole crew? Did you meet your significant other in The Hunger Games fandom? Get inspired by reading Kelly’s post about what THG fandom friendships mean HERE.
Within The Hunger Games books and films, there are many meaningful friendships and platonic relationships. Think about Katniss’ relationships with Prim, Rue, Cinna, Effie, Haymitch, Madge, her long-standing friendship with Gale. Katniss says, “I've never been very good at friends.” Yet those friendships help her cope time and time again.
There are a few THG BFFs within The Hunger Games cast too! We all know (and love) the special friendship Jennifer Lawrence, and Josh Hutcherson share. They are about the best thing to happen to any press tour, ever. Jennifer says of both Josh and co-star Liam Hemsworth, “They are my best friends.” And both actors have said the same of her in countless interviews. We'll also be celebrating cast friendships this week.

My THG BFF has been, actually, a friend of mine since we were little. We went to school together as kids and everything, and still go to the same high school. One day, we were talking about THG and found out how much we both loved it and that we were both huge fans. That's how she went up from friend to THG BFF.
I've met so many awesome people and become closer with my friends because of The Hunger Games. :)
My The Hunger Games BFF is my best friend Kayln, I've known her since we were 5, and we are now 16. We first read these books in seventh grade and they completely changed our lives, when the movie came out we fell in love with the actors, even though we already loved Josh and a couple of other ones... I discovered my love for Liam and she fell even more in love with Josh, we are now Juniors in high school and are still in love with the stories and people and people who created the films. It would mean a lot if we won this because this series is the best thing to happen to our friendship, and we are going to be skipping school on November 19th to go to the marathon and see all of the films over again before the end...
My THGBFF is actually my cousin Athena! We are both so obsessed with the books,the movies and generally the whole world Suzanne has built! We didn't realise that the other was into the books at first but we got it when we accidentally met at the local cinema of our town with a few more friends to watch the first movie! We fell hard for the whole concept because it really reminds us of our own history and mythology as we were born in beautiful Greece!

My THG BFF is one of my best friends, Emie. I read the books and immediately fell in love with them. I told her she HAD to read the books. When she did she fell in love with them too. That was about 5 years ago. We are still die hard fans. We have gone to every Thursday night showing for the movies together and we are planning on skipping school and going to the Marathon for the last movie. (That is if we don't make it to the premier in LA :)
My #THGBFF is the person who give me her The Hunger Games books to read :) We watched Catching Fire and Mockingjay Part 1 together and we will watch Mockingjay Part 2 together :) <3
My THGBFFs are Rachel, Ellie, Dema, and Jaziel. We all met on twitter through the hunger games fandom and eventually got to be such good friends that we created a group direct message. Ever since, we have been messaging about everythin hunger games related and making sure the others are aware when there is new promotion for the upcoming movie or anythting else exciting! My other THGBFF is Hayley. We met on twitter as well and we also actually got to meet at the opening day of The Hunger Games Exhibition! We went through the whole thing together and even got to make our own propo together! I will never forget that day!
One of my #THGBFF is my dear friend Pat, even though she's 5 years younger than I am, we quickly bonded over our mutual love to thg trilogy and movies. I remember I decided to give The Hunger Games trilogy a try so I could finally understand what all of the fuss was about :D And I have been a goner since then. Then I decided I need to watch the movie as soon as it comes out, so I decided to take my friend to the cinema. Even though she hadn't read the books, she loved the movie, so I asked her if she wanted to borrow my books. It only took her about a week or so to read the whole trilogy and there's not a conversation between the two of us that does not contain the hunger games in any way possible. We even have weekly sessions during which we analyze the trilogy line by line. Whenever there is a thg marathon in a cinema we are the first ones to go. Its safe to say that we're the craziest thg fans in our group of friends.
I probably would have never heard of the hunger games if it hadn't been introduced to me by my sister and two of my friends. I will always be grateful for them introducing it to me. I love it how when whenever you meet someone who is part of he hunger games fandom, you immediately share something in common with them. I don't have a single HGBFF but I have made so many amazing friends through this fandom. When the first mockingjay trailer came out, I was with some of my friends who also loved the hunger games. So I showed it to them and we both started freaking out! But I have to say the biggest is my family who even though they aren't as crazy as I am about the hunger games, willing take me to the movies every year. They even made going to the hunger games exhibit part of our vacation! :) :)

I havent got just one internet fandom friend, but I've got just one I love this much. Her name is Paju (@primsbooks )She is from Finland (I'm not good in remember things like this. So after she told me this I forgot it and thought she is from Norway a long time... 🙈 I'm sorry) First we chatted in a hunger games squat but after a few weeks no one there was active anymore. Then she wrote me a text that I seemed to be nice and we could chat without the squat. And we did this and I realized more how wonderful she is every day. I know I can talk with her about everything and she will listen to me and will try to help me. And I would do the same for her. Chatting with her will never get boring cause she is so funny and I've got the feeling that we've got the same humor and we understand the other one no matter what she says. One of my biggest dreams is to meet her. I know that this isnt so easy cause we are living far away from each other and our english wouldnt be so good when we will meet but I'm sure that this is going to be one of the best days of my life. She is the friend I waited for very long even I've never seen her in "real" life. Cause I know that she is there for me and that I can count on her. I love you Paju. You are wonderful and you deserve everything you want in your life. You deserve Oreos in your supermarket (yes guys you cannot buy oreos in finland), you deserve the best friends in the world, you deserve to meet Jen, you deserve to visit Germany even if I dont understand why you want to do that and you deserve to be happy forever. Cause you cannot find people with a big heart like you have often in todays world. Thank you so much for being my friend. My Hunger games "Bff" Story actually started with my fan art share, Thanks to the hunger Games I actually found my boyfriend Dakota, We went from best friends to boyfriends thanks to that share haha. We have a strong bond over the hunger games, he makes cosplay costumes and I make fan art, we're like the perfect team, He's talked to me every day since we met. When we were talking No joke I asked him "you like me? Real or Not Real?" and he said real, It's been great ever since and Thank you to the hunger Games for bring me and my boyfriend together It really wouldn't have happened without you guys! May the Odds Be Ever In Your Favor!

My THGBFF is my best friend, Leia. She and I are OBSESSED with The Hunger Games (and Finnick).
My hunger game obsession started when I was watch catching fire in class. Then it hit off from there I came home watched the first one. It was so prefect. Then I got into the books. I just can't wait till NOVEMBER. I sadly can't see mockingjay part 2 till around December 😭😭. It would mean so much to me if I won.
My THG BFFs are my group of "reader" friends... One of them actually got me started on reading the series. We have had book discussions, dream casting sessions, actual cast discussions, and everything THG!

Until I discovered the Hunger Games I made a lot of friends from a lot of countries because after I saw mockingjay part 1 I joined in a THG group and after that I created a THG group chat where I talk everyday with my internet friends passionate of The Hunger Games.
My #THGBFF is my mom. I guess I dragged her into it, lol, but she likes the movies. And she's said that we'll have to watch pt. 1 again before seeing pt. 2. :)
I don't have a BFF who enjoys the series as much as I do, unfortunately. I have spoken to some awesome people through our mutual love of the books/movies, which is cool.
I think that joining the fandom speaks for itself because everyone is so welcoming and friendly and your bound to make friends when you join. I've made hundreds of friends including one of the admin from @panem_propaganda Instagram and I think this THGBFF is a amazing way of sharing our stories :)
