Jennifer Lawrence Covers W Magazine's Movie Issue

Photos by Juergen Teller Jennifer Lawrence is one of 6 different covers on W Magazine's February Movie Issue. She also headlines the issue's Best Performances portfolio for her work in Catching Fire and American Hustle.

“I was at the Oscars, waiting to hear
if my name was called, and I kept thinking, Cakewalk, cakewalk, cakewalk. I thought, Why is ‘cakewalk’ stuck in my head? And then, as I started to walk up the stairs and the fabric from my dress tucked under my feet, I realized my stylist had told me, ‘Kick, walk, kick, walk.’ You are supposed to kick the dress out while you walk, and I totally forgot because I was thinking about cake! And that’s why I fell.”

Jennifer Lawrence Makes Forbes' 30 Under 30 List

Jennifer Lawrence is on about a million "Best" lists this awards season for her turn as Rosalyn Rosenfeld in American Hustle and also her general awesomeness (not to mention this little movie she stars in, Catching Fire. Maybe you've heard of it?). She's landed on yet another list  - Forbes' 30 Under 30, their annual tally of the brightest stars in 15 different fields under the age of 30. Here's what Forbes had to say about Jen.

In 2013 the Academy crowned her Best Actress and the Internet crowned her "our best friend." Her candor made her a sensation, and her girl-next-door relatability didn't dampen her earning power. She's officially one of the highest-paid women in Hollywood, reportedly earning $10 million for "Catching Fire." Fans who can't wait for the final two installments of "The Hunger Games" can see Lawrence in "American Hustle" and next year's "X-Men" flick.

Trish Summerville on Creating Characters and Key Wardrobe Pieces for Catching Fire

Costume designer Trish Summerville revealed some of the inspiration behind the looks she created for Catching Fire in a recent THR.com article.

Photo by Joe PuglieseSummerville jumped from styling music stars (Pink, No Doubt) to big-budget movies in 2011, when she nailed the punky garb for David Fincher's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, for which she won a Costume Designers Guild Award. Now she's gone futuristic for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, with jaw-dropping ball gowns for Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), Cerre leather moto jackets for Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and hyper-designed Alexander McQueen dresses (including one with trembling butterflies) for Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks). The biggest challenge? Outfitting the Games contestants, who all are in unitard-like sweatsuits that had to fit 24 different body types ranging from age 19 to 79. Says Summerville, "The shoes also had to be things they could swim in and run on lava rock."
