Meet Haymitch: New Behind-the-Scenes Featurette for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping

The video introduces Joseph Zada as the young Haymitch Abernathy and offers our first real look behind the camera. Alongside interviews with Zada, director Francis Lawrence, producer Nina Jacobson, Elle Fanning, Mckenna Grace and Ben Wang, the featurette is packed with brand-new footage, book-accurate moments, hidden details, and a few surprises fans are sure to appreciate.

If this featurette is any indication, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is leaning heavily into the emotional core of Suzanne Collins' novel while recreating many of its most memorable moments with remarkable care.

Between book faithful details like the tender moments with Louella McCoy, the chamomile flowers, grain sack curtains, and the group hug before the arena - and intriguing adaptation changes like the Donner sisters' matching mockingjay pins - there's plenty for us to look forward to.
