VIDEO: Josh Hutcherson Talks With HALO Awards Honoree

Get More: Music News

Josh Hutcherson is slated to make an appearance at the TeenNick HALO Awards, taking place later this month. He will honor one young person trying to make a difference in the world.

For this year's HALO Awards, the star is paired with honoree Zachary Kerr. The 19-year-old transgendered teen is transitioning from female to male and has become an advocate through the Greater Boston PFLAG organization. Hutcherson himself is also an activist, having founded the Straight But Not Narrow (SBNN) organization.

"Equal rights have been a huge part of my life from the day I was born," Hutcherson told MTV News in an exclusive statement. "My mom was raised by her two uncles who were both gay and passed away from AIDS before I was born. I didn't get to meet them, but they were amazing people and that made my family realize that there's no difference between a gay person and a straight person. We're all just people."

He added, "Zachary's an inspiration because he helps raise awareness about LGBT issues and he teaches everyone that it's OK to be you, whoever you are, and his message is all about acceptance and equality."

In an exclusive clip, Josh and Zachary meet up, and the young advocate tells the actor, "I am going to be a living, breathing example of what it means to be happy and GLBT."

VIDEO: Behind The Scenes of Jennifer Lawrence's December Instyle Cover Shoot

From InStyle Magazine:

Jennifer Lawrence may play one tough heroine on the big screen, but our December cover girl shows a candid and glamorous side in the holiday issue— out on newsstands on November 15th. Lawrence talks about everything from her workout regime, which she admits that “nothing can motivate me,” to growing up with two older brothers, and that infamous trip up the stairs during last year’s Oscars. “I fell because the fabric of my dress got stuck under my foot. I can’t walk up stairs, ever. In fact, I tripped walking up some stairs just yesterday, and my publicist was cracking up.” In our exclusive behind-the-scenes video, Lawrence kept her balance (while in Fendi pumps) as she took fashion to new heights at the 17,000-square-foot hangar at the Jet Center L.A. dressed in everything from Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Céline, and Valentino, all shot pre-pixie hair cut! Click the play button to get a sneak peek at some of Lawrence’s white-hot couture looks, then make sure you pick up InStyle‘s December issue, on newsstands and available for digital download beginning Friday, November 15.

Hunger Games Theme Parks a Possibility

Yeah, it's all over the news today: Hunger Games theme parks are being discussed. According to Variety, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer made the disclosure Friday during a conference call with analysts following release of the studio’s quarterly earnings report.

Feltheimer said Lionsgate had been approached about Hunger Games theme parks in two territories and was considering those possibilities. He gave no further details.

The CEO’s disclosure came in response to an analyst question about which areas of Hunger Games merchandising had performed well. Motion Picture Group Co-Chairman Rob Friedman had said that Lionsgate was “very excited” by sales of the “Capitol Couture” line of attire.

What do YOU think? Would you go to a Hunger Games theme park?
