Fan Made Friday - Replica of Katniss' 75th Hunger Games Bow & Arrows

Welcome to Fan Made Friday! A new feature that's all about YOU and your Hunger Games creations! There are so many creative people in this fandom and we wanted to take some time to highlight some of the things you've done.

First up is a bow and arrows made by Raul Tavarez. Raul is an avid Hunger Games fan and archery enthusiast. He decided to make his own bow and arrows, inspired by the one Katniss used in the 74th Hunger Games. Check it out in action. Can you believe he made this out of PVC pipe? It's so beautiful!

Raul made the arrows out of wood and used clear fletching (the feathers on the arrow) just like in the movie.

For reference, here's Katniss and her bow from The Hunger Games. Great job, Raul! You can follow Raul on twitter at @fire_is_catchin.

Would you like to be featured in a Fan Made Friday post? Write us HERE and tell us what you created. We may feature you in a future FMF post!

Coldplay Performs "Atlas" Live in London

From Rolling Stone:

After a botched start that included a round of "Fix You," Coldplay's Chris Martin led his band into their first-ever live performance of "Atlas" last night in London. The song is Coldplay's contribution to the The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Soundtrack.

Bathed in blue light, a very sweaty Martin looked relieved as the band kicked into the song together. As he began singing the opening lines – "Some saw the sun, some saw the smoke" – the audience joined in just as loud. As the song built, Martin sang "carry the world" while guitarist Jonny Buckland coaxed some plaintive notes from his instrument. The performance went so well, unlike that of their previous song, that Martin jumped up from his piano with an ear-to-ear smile and did a little victory lap on the stage.

The performance was part of an event Coldplay organized called "Under 1 Roof," and it also featured sets by Lily Allen, Robbie Williams and Ricky Gervais as his Office character David Brent, among others. The concert benefitted Kids Company, a U.K. organization that provides "practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city kids."

New Mockingjay Set Photos

A few new Mockingjay set photos have turned up online thanks to some fans in the Castleberry Hill area of Atlanta. What scene do you think they could be filming? It almost looks like a hovercraft claw. More of the rescue? Katniss dropping into District 12?

Jennifer Lawrence One of People's 25 Most Intriguing

Jennifer Lawrence cover's People Magazine's year-end double issue and is among their 25 Most Intriguing People of 2013.

From People.com:

Cue Jennifer Lawrence, this year's cover girl. She's the star who we wanted to be pals with all year long, starting with her charming topple up to the stage to accept her Best Actress Oscar for her role in Silver Linings Playbook to the sassy new sassy new haircut she debuted while promoting The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in November.

Who wouldn't love the 23-year-old who had the nerve to photobomb Sarah Jessica Parker at the Met Gala, while donning Dior and a netted headpiece?
