Take Your Picture With Jennifer Lawrence's Oscar For Charity in Louisville

The Louisville Film Society is hosting an Oscar party and fund-raiser on March 2 at the site of the organization’s future theater and office space, and the guest of honor seems to be Jennifer Lawrence's Oscar. The event features a red carpet walk and the chance for guests to get a picture with Jennifer's award.

As you probably know by now, Louisville, KY is Jen's home town. This event will celebrate Jennifer's success along with other Kentucky natives including George Clooney. Twenty Kentuckians are nominated for an Oscar this year according to Lousiville Business First! Can that be right?!

The fund-raiser kicks off at 7 p.m.  Attendees will watch the Oscars at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are on-sale now online for $50.

Josh Hutcherson Signs With CAA

Deadline recently reported that Josh Hutcherson has just signed with one of Hollywood's top talent agencies, CAA. He has been in play since recently leaving ICM, the agency that repped him since he was 11 years old, and which booked him into career-making roles such as The Hunger Games and The Kids Are All Right. Hutcherson is managed by The Beddingfield Company.

More Details on the 'Catching Fire' DVD Deleted Scenes

The Catching Fire DVD will be out on March 7th (buy it HERE), but we've got some early details on the much anticipated deleted scenes. We reported earlier that there will be 5 deleted scenes on the Catching Fire DVD. But thanks to one of our savvy followers, we've got a few more details on what you'll be seeing in each scene.

There will be 5 deleted scenes, totaling about 5 minutes in length:

THE HOB - SCENE 8 (00:21) - A short scene with Gale and Katniss at The Hob.

TRAIN STATION - SCENE 62 (00:23) - Katniss comes back from the victory tour and tells Prim and her mother they need to leave District 12.

A WRINKLE - SCENE 81 (01:42) President Snow talks to Plutarch Heavensbee about Jabberjays. Extended scene.

SWITCHING ENVELOPES - SCENE 84 (01:04) Plutarch Heavensbee switches Quarter Quell envelopes and destroys the original envelope.

FINNICK TIES THE KNOT - SCENE 119 (00:56) Finnick Odair teaches Katniss to tie knots in the training center. Finally the scene that represents this still:

Just to clarify, the 5 deleted scenes will be included with every basic version of the Catching Fire DVD (and Blu-ray.) The Target Deluxe edition and the UK Limited Deluxe Edition contain additional exclusive content as follows:

Additional 45 minutes of exclusive content:
• One Vision (A Faithful Adaptation)—translating Suzanne Collin’s source material to the big screen
• The Alliance (Returning Cast)—an inside look at the close-knit relationships of the returning actors
• Friend or For (New Cast)—finding the perfect embodiments of the new characters

We've had a LOT of questions about the Peeta/morphling scene and the short rooftop scene Francis mentioned back in November, but we don’t have any info on those scenes being included in any editions yet. There's a possibility that snippets of these scenes are nestled within the 45 minutes of addtional content but it's not confirmed. Just a guess on our part. We’ll keep you posted!

Entertainment Weekly's February 14th cover will feature Philip Seymour Hoffman, who died tragically on Sunday of a suspected drug overdose. The cover story pays tribute to Hoffman, widely considered the greatest screen and stage actor of his generation.

Film critic Owen Gleiberman traces the arc of the Oscar-winning actor’s tragically curtailed career, exploring his ability, in role after role, to plumb his own depths to bring often deeply flawed characters to vivid life and to “lay bare the things that make people tick” — an emotionally wrenching process that clearly took a personal toll on the actor. We look back at Hoffman’s 10 most essential film performances — including his acclaimed work in movies like Capote, Doubt, and Boogie Nights, as well as lesser-known gems from throughout his career — and look ahead to the various projects he was working on at the time of his death, including the final installments in the Hunger Games franchise.

Director Brett Ratner, a fellow NYU film school student of Hoffman’s who later worked with the actor on the film Red Dragon, contributes a personal remembrance, while other friends and fellow actors and filmmakers offer their own tributes to Hoffman as both an artist and a man. “He was the warmest, most generous person and just overflowing with love and affection for his friends and family,” says actor Todd Louiso, a longtime friend of Hoffman’s who directed him in the 2002 film Love Liza. “I know the past two years have been really rough for him. To find out [about his death] doesn’t really compute to me. It just shows how strong that disease [of addiction] is.”

This issue of Entertainment Weekly is on stands Friday.
