Julianne Moore, Sam Claflin & Natalie Dormer Confirmed for BAFTAS

 

Julianne Moore, Sam Claflin and Natalie Dormer are confirmed to attend the BAFTAS on Sunday, February 8th. Julianne is nominated for her performance in Still Alice, and Sam and Natalie are set to present. 

You can tune in to the BAFTAS live stream on Sunday starting at 5pm GMT (noon ET/9am PT) on BAFTA.ORG and EE.CO.UK. The awards start at 9pm GMT (4pm EST/1pm PT). 

'Mockingjay Part 1' is Now the Top Grossing Film of 2014

We did it, tributes! According to Scott Mendelson at Forbes, as of last night, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is the top grossing film of 2014 in the United States, surpassing the $333.2 million earned by Guardians of the Galaxy! 

A couple of interesting stats to bear in mind: This makes 2014 the second year in a row where a Hunger Games film topped the domestic box office. It's also the second year in a row where a female-led film topped the domestic box office and makes Hunger Games the first franchise to top the domestic box office charts two years in a row.

And it was all done without the help of 3D and/or IMAX increased ticket prices!

Congrats to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, Lionsgate and the whole team involved! And thanks to YOU for getting out there to the theater!

Julianne Moore is doing a bunch of promotion thanks to her multiple nominations for Still Alice and Maps to the Stars this awards season. She was on The Late Show With David Letterman last night, and it sounds like Santa was unexpectedly naughty at Julianne's house this year! 

The 'Mockingjay Part 1' Cast Talk About Ebola

Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Julianne Moore, Mahershala Ali lent their time to Jeffrey Wright's new video for the Ebola Survival Fund. The Mockingjay cast dispels some of the misconceptions about the disease and helps spread the message to help bring a permanent end to this epidemic.

The press conference was held after the Ask Mockingjay fan event, which will be aired on Facebook on Monday.
