False Election Brings Capitol Rejection
Tue, November 4, 2014 With the spread of insurrection across the Districts, President Snow has made a last-ditch effort to patch together a sense of legitimacy by calling for a nationwide mandatory election.
Like elections past, citizens are only given one choice. The penalty for not submitting to the Capitol-approved choices was recently elevated to summary execution. This is up from a punishment of flogging in past elections.
The President and his coterie of Capitol buffoons, however, are witnessing quite the opposite result than they intended. People everywhere are openly rejecting the ballot. In some cases they are even using the ballot itself as a piece of commentary.

Citizens of Panem everywhere are using this year's ballot as an act of rebellionWith news of the Mockingjay survival, a new sense of hope has emboldened the citizenry of Panem. No more will the false choice of fake elections satisfy the peoples' yearning earing for change. The countryside is alive and awake, and ready to create a new, just society in place of the mangled, twisted one the Capitol has constructed.
