Occupy the PMP. The Fight Begins!

76 Years ago our districts were changed forever.  The heroic acts of civil disobedience from our brave brothers and sisters generations ago to throw off the yolk of the Capitol's tyranny was met with brute force, and the murder of thousands.

Ever since, the Capitol has cheered and relished in their power as they stepped on our necks and forced us to watch our own children slay each other in commemoration of their victory in despotism.

There are many of us that are prepared to take back our districts.  To live in peace and make a world better than what we had.  A world where our children grow free and are not the slaves of the fortunate few who  hide preening themselves with the wealth they stole from our hard labor in the fortified walls of the Capitol.

This new world we seek will never come to be under the rule of President Snow and Capitol City.  We need to bind together.  We need to resist.  We need to take the Capitol and all it's corruption and evil down. 

We begin with the occupation of this website. We stake our flag here on the Ministry of Propaganda's site to counter the lies and deception they spew. 

We do not know how long we can hold the site online.  But we will continue to provide the truth for as long as we can to uncover the thin veil of the Capitol's deceit  in defiance of their illegitimate authority over us!

It's time to be heard.  It's time to resist.  Down with the Capitol!

President Snow is a liar.  Capitol City is a rotten center of greed and inhumanity.  We will rise together. We will end this tyranny.

Hunger Games Feast Part 2

Sampled our first course and feeling full already? 

Well, drink your apo and get back to the buffet! The second course of your Hunger Games Feast features President Snow's favorite dish, Serpenti Verde. We hear this Snow family recipe was handed down to Snow by his grandmother, Polonia. It's served at many Capitol dinners, and is a seasonal Tribute favorite. 

Snow's personal chef wouldn't give up his top secret recipe, but we've adapted it for you here. We're just dying to get ahold of Snow's secret ingredient! But, until then, enjoy what we think is extremely close, and definitely delicious! 

Serpenti Verde (Noodles in Green Sauce)

Ingredients:

Pesto 

2 cups (lightly packed) fresh basil leaves

1/4 cup (packed) fresh Italian parsley leaves

1/2 cups pine nuts, toasted (toasting is optional)

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

2 large garlic cloves, peeled, chopped

1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil

kosher salt and pepper

Cream Sauce

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp. butter

2 Tbsp. flour

1 cup milk

kosher salt

white pepper

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (reggiano is best)

1 lb linguine 

Make the Pesto:

Combine first 6 ingredients in processor. Blend until herbs are finely chopped. Add oil and blend to coarse puree. Season pesto to taste with salt and pepper. Transfer to small bowl.

Make the cream sauce:

In heavy saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Stir in flour with a wire whisk. Cook over low heat for three minutes, stirring constantly (This mixture is called a roux). Do not allow the mixture to brown, but a golden blonde color is fine. Gradually stir in milk, whisking constantly. Cook over low heat for 3-5 more minutes until sauce begins to thicken. Add the pesto sauce and incorporate. Season to taste with kosher salt and pepper. 

Meanwhile, cook pasta in large pot of boiling salted water until just tender but still firm to bite, stirring occasionally. Drain; return pasta to pot. Add sauce; toss over medium-high heat until sauce coats pasta, about 4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, if needed. Transfer to large shallow bowl and serve; topping with freshly grated Parmesan,if desired.

Anticipation for this year's Hunger Games has left us impatiently waiting for the festivities to begin. Fortunately, we've got Hunger Games FashionWeek to keep us entertained!

This week the Capitol's top tastemakers presented their Hunger Games Season looks, and Capitol society and style mavens turned out in all their sartorial finery.

President Snow kicked off the seven day bacchanalia with a surprising appearance at Phineas Rand's sumptuous presentation.

President Snow's niece, Valeria, made her catwalk debut, closing the show in one of Rand's signature masterpieces, along with what just might be the newest trend of the season so far - beautifully pearl-dyed skin.  Valeria Snow

Across town, Hunger Games D12 stylist, Cinna, was spotted in the front row at Domitilla. Gathering ideas for his darling tributes, perhaps?

Fashion Week is A veritable who's-who of the 74th Hunger Games. The ever-dapper Gamemaker Seneca Crane was seen leaving the Tullus show, where HG Announcer Claudius Templesmith was perched front row.
