Effie Trinket's Fashion Friday

Capitol fashion-watchers are in for a treat! PMP guest columnist, Effie Trinket, is here to bring you her recap of the hottest trends from Hunger Games Fashion Week. As all savvy Capitol denizens know, Effie is District 12's escort, and a budding fashion maven to boot. Her Hunger Games inspired nail polish line, Capitol Colors, is making a huge splash with those in-the-know. The ever-vivacious Effie gave us her top picks for this Hunger Games season. As Effie would say, it's a big, big, big day!

Effie's Top Style Picks

Makeup

"Butterflies! I wear them myself in my Capitol Colors ad! Butterflies are happy, colorful, and cheerful. When times are tough, I say, wear a butterfly!"

Butterflies are cheerful

Effie likes color. "Color your lips, color your eyes! If you're feeling low, just add more color."

Color makes people happy

Hair

Effie loved volume at this year's shows. "I love how the hair looks like clouds, and bubbles. As if the hair could lift you right off the ground. Puffy, cotton candy hair stole my heart."

Hair like lovely clouds

 Style

Effie's favorite sartorial trend? "Happy clothes! My favorite collections had one thing in common - a spirit of joy and celebration. Saturated color, volume, and loads of fun!"

Wear happy, be happy!

Effie's final bit of style advice? "Always remember to show your love for the Capitol!"

Thank you, Effie Trinket, for this uplifting look at Hunger Games Style!

Show your Capitol some love!
